First off I want to apologize because this isn't really the right place to post this. Some other site all together would be lol. My question is though what is a good site simmiliar to this one for sport bikes like the cbr. Also I figured some of you guys probably ride them so does anyone know how to import a cbr 250 from japan? Do you guys think the 2012 cbr 250 will drop in price (Used) as summer gets closer and more of them get into circulation? Thanks in advance

A CBR250 would be great on gas, but I'd rather pick up a used 600 for the same money, and have twice the bike.

I agree with this... I started with a 600 and it was perfect for me. Just the right amount of power, and still fairly light.

cbrforum.com Is a pretty good site for all models of CBR's. I would not recommend riding a bike without first taking the MSF Course. It is a great course that will teach you many techniques. As soon as I took that course I felt much safer on my bike.

I can see what your saying power wise, also i've considered because I can find them cheaper lol. I've read a lot of people saying starting on the 600 can go just fine but theres a chance that I'd never fully grow into the bike and wouldn't progress my skills any further than what I would if I had a more suitable beginner bike. I definitly plan on taking the safety course and I'll sign up on the cbrforum Thanks guys

I just sold my wife's CM250. It got about 85mpg but was like riding a moped. She loves her 600 shadow now.

go with the 600 because you will regret it if you pull up on a 250 next to one and he blows you out the water in second gear. bikes have throttles so it only as dangerous as you make it. i got my 636 when i was 17 and was still in highschool and im still here today. but i started out wanting a ninja 250 then got on my friends and it was the cool fairing style new 250 and it didnt feel as strong as a 250f. i would really consider a sv 650 as a begginer bike and a ninja 250 as a inner city alt to a moped. and a used sv is a really good buy for what you can get one for.
