anyone know what size of bolt is needed to pull the flywheel off of a 1999 400E? im tearing my motor apart and im stumped. :confused:

I would just get the $12 flywheel puller off ebay. Made by motion pro.

That ones not the motion pro, i think the motion pro is actually like $18 or $20 sorry.

thats what i figured, i just figured if anybody knew the thread size it would be a lot easier to go to the local fastenall and it wouuld save me some time.

after a ton of searching i found out that it's a 20mm by 1.5 pitch and a 60 mm long bolt should be long enough. im going to get it tomorrow and try it out

it worked perfect, i got the bolt from fastenall since it's kind of hard to find a metric bolt around here that size but they had exactly what i needed i dont even remember now what it cost but it wasnt more than 2 bucks.

- Thanks for the reply bro. I'll try to go pick this up tomorrow on my lunch break and do the mod this weekend. I gotta get the quad out and see if this mod is worth it. I bought the gasket two weeks ago, so all I need is this bolt.

its only like $30-$35 for sparks 6* advance key and you get a free flywheel puller

^Here it says it's $20 bucks. I think I paid $15 + ship when I purchased mine. I actually have the puller and for some reason I was thinking I didn't. I bought a ton of mods last year and I've only installed half of them.
