We are currently running 300 foot dirt drags on a 2008 pro mxr90 with stock cylinder. It is piped and has an overange and clutch kit installed. What would be the best roller weight to start out with. Any ideas?

What pipe? I would be willing to say depending on the pipe around 6 grams with the overange would be a good starting point .

roller weight
this depends on your torsion spring
the stronger your spring the heavier the weight required
at the same time the heavier the spring the shorter its life span
not a direct answer but hope it helps you tune
also buy your torsions in a lot so there will be less tuning over extended periods

I am running a trackside pipe. Thanks for the input I have a few different roller weights to try just wanted a little more opinions. I'm running a 1500 spring so I think I will start with the 6.50.

I'm thinking 5 to 5.5's.

Ok so I tried 6.50 first, then I changed to the 2500 springs, then I adjusted the shoes, then I just called G-force and ordered the 5.50 rollers and they perfect so far.Still have to run the 300 foot fully for a good time test but they are much better. Turning about 12,000 and clutch is coming in at about 6,900. Thank you

We are located in a smaller town called Luray Va. It is about an hour and a half away from Washington D.C. We race with a local circuit that we got together with at a couple tracks not too far away. They have a website www.gobrokeracing,com. It seems in the 2 years we have been involved it has grown quite a bit and is becoming pretty popular around here. We also have a local motocross track called Shenandoah speedway. You should check it out. Could make for a nice road trip.
