XC tires

I noticed in the XC quad picture thread, almost every bike is running Razor tires.

Any particular reason? Are they cheap, or just that good?

I ran holeshot MXR6's at my last hairscramble and decided i need a change of tires. 18" rears and 19" fronts is not enough.

I am going to run the new razr XC tires. I have them all mounted up and ready to go they look pretty awesome with large, grooved lugs and open spacing for good mud cleanout. The only comment I have so far is that the rear tire is actually about 19" in diameter instead of 20" when compared to the original razr tires on my ATC. It's good because I don't have to run as much sag to get to ride height and they should handle and slide better but give up 1/2" ground clearance at the sprocket/rotor.

I run razor 2's also on the 450 and was going to try the xc's on the 250.
Burns if you wana try my razor2 pm me I would like to see these harescrambles and I could bring them to the next race maybe...

I'm running the Holeshot GNCC and Like them a lot but have never used the Razrs But when I was Looking around the razrs were cheaper and might be the better buy.

I have only run Maxxis Razor 2's and GBC X-Rex. I ran two sets of Razor 2's on the front and rear and I am on my first set of the GBC's. The GBC are exactly like the Razor 2's, but is a cheaper price compared to Maxxis. They are a 6 ply and heavy, but work really well for the woods riding i do. I think when the GBC's are toast, I am going to try the new Razr XC's shown above. mx91a let me know how these work out for you this year. Hope this helps.

i ran razors on my 310R and i loved them!! I had 20x11x9 which is alot of tire but I hooked awesome almost anywhere and had plenty of power to turn them. I tried a set in the 18x10x8 on my 330R and hated them! hit my rev limiter way to fast and got 0 traction....they sucked. I now have a set of the ITP gncc 20x10x9 on the same 330 and they are very nice. I havnt had a chance to try them out a hole lot but what ive seen so far i think they are great!!........bottom line I think the Razors are awesome tires and wouldnt hesitate to run them again

Maxxis = Chinese crap (Taiwan too), I don't care if they work well or not.

I lovemaxxis tires also but just bought tires for the RZR and realized the ITP terracrosses were USA ^^^ so I'm leaning that way now myself
