Ok i know the digital 01 cr250 ignition is the best option for a cr ignition, but will other years of the cr ignition bolt to the esr adapter plate?

Basicaly i messed up my 01 cr250 ignition, but i can pick up a complete 98 ignition for cheap, will it work with the esr plate?

it will bolt up to the adapter plate. I ran one for a while on my 350pv. It didnt seem to perform any different than the 01 ignition I have now. But the components for the '98 are bulkier and harder to stow away.

Im thinking about getting the powerjet carb that works with the 98 ignition

You may want to get ahold of wilkin250r here on the forum. A while back I sold him a complete '98 cr250 ignition with the powerjet carb. Dunno what he has done with it... I think it was to wilkin250r anyways.

It was indeed me. I had a motor that had no spark, and when I put the 98 ignition on it, it fired right up. However, that wasn't the only problem that motor had, and by the time I fixed everything, I put a different ignition on it.

Unfortunately, I don't have much input in that respect. The ignition seemed to work just fine because that motor fired right up, but I never ran it on a real performance motor so I can't give any input from a performance aspect.

Getting that powerjet carb working is still a project in the back of my mind, but so far it hasn't materialized beyond concept.
