max power exhaust 09 yfz450r?

What makes the most power for an 09 that's stock? Thinking of doing a control module as well.

Id STart out with a air filter and i dont mind my hmf but somebody can chime in with more info

Twin air filter and HMF Pipe, that is the way 2 go, just my 2 cents

HMF is a really nice exhaust system that lets you adjust the sound output(comp serires). The top pipe usually amongst the YFZ guys is the Rossier or Barkers.

I would get an MSD controller. If you get one tuned right, you can achieve about 1-1.5 hp more than the PowerCommander. DO NOT CONSIDER any other units other than Vortex, GT Thunder ECU, PowerCommander, or MSD.

I worked on a bike that had an FMF controller on it and all it would do was fowl plugs left and right. unplugged it and it worked fine. I switched his to a PCV and it worked fine.

Per many dyno results, Barkers seem to be pulling the most hp as compared to Sparks, Dasa, and a few others. Many people buy a power package that will include an FCI intake, full exhaust and a fuel/ignition controller.

I run a sparks exhaust, K&N filter on Pro-design adapter, and a PCV. Just food for thought.
