Hey guys, im currently looking for good tires for my 400ex. Im mainly looking for rears considering my fronts are in pretty good condition.

My top choice is Sedona Buzookas. From what i hear they grab really nice and dont ware down fast.

Im also looking at razr 2's but they're a little pricey around here.

Let me know what you guys think.

GBC X Rex's are the same thing as Razr 2s but half the price. I love my Razr 2s, I'll prolly never buy a different tire, they wear slow and have great grip, and look badass.

Razrs or holeshot HD's. I find the razr II to be to grippy for what I do in sand/woods.

I run kenda klaws and Im just waiting for them to die b/c they suck.

need to be able to slide stick, trust me not enough slide with the razr II. Why else would people like balance run regular razrs in the rear?

I can slide mine on just about everything other than pavement.

Try to slide the rear end around with a new pair of gncc holeshots, there is a such thing as too much grip for me. I love the grip mine have when I'm in muddy/hill climbing situations, but next time I'm probably going with razr1's in the rear and 2's or gncc holeshots in the front.

When they were brand new and still had the edge on them it was like riding on Velcro, unreal.

I dont disagree with ya, but i like the feel of razrs over the razr IIs man. Just personal preference.

I have holeshots on my rear right now and they are about worn down so I'm going to get them Razrs off rockymountain. About everyone pretty much recommends them.

Its depends on what feels good to each person. I myself love my Rzr 2's. Where we ride I want the extra grip. Climbing up rocks and root sections the extra grip comes in handy. Also like stickman400 said they wear good.

I've got a question. What is the difference bewteen the razr 6 ply and the razr 4 ply and will i even notice it?

4 ply is softer and will puncture easier as well as roll more during cornering. 6ply is stiffer more puncture resistant and rolls less in corners.

I will only run 6 ply unless I was racing and a track.

at the same time a 4 ply vs 6 ply of the same brand/make tire will have the same density rubber.air pressure and bead to tire/surface contact area distance will afford diffferent/better results when applied properly.for instance,a 4 ply 20 " tall 10 inch rim mounted rear tire will offer less surface area to actually roll than the same tire mounted on a 9inch wheel. this will also afford some extra resistance to pinch gashes in the sidewall area from rocks and things like that.straight punctures are a dif story tho,if ur running around alot of thorne apple trees or hawthornes etc then 6ply plus might be a necessity.for us,beadlocks and tireballs have been the only real guarantee for absolute "get you through it" integrity in combination with appropriate tire pressure and minimal sidewall surface area.
