have u guys seen the new quad in dirtwheels called the somethin eraser. its made by KTM. its got like a 510 engine i believe. It looks BAD ***** it like doesnt have front fenders so it looks sweet.
Reminds me of a quadzilla for some reason.

w-tech eraser. its a very different design but i guess 2 of em finished in the top 10 at pdv. and you can choose several engines for it.

i would be afraid to ride that thing. I dont think they will do to well in the US either. With the fact that they are so funky lookin and they are like british or some chit:huh

The W-Tec Eraser sounds like an awesome quad... It comes with a KTM 520 or a Husaberg 650

you know.. it looks sorta weird, but I would like to try one out on a track and see how i liked it for myself... might not be that bad of a quad you know? Ive heard some good things about them.. of course id go for the KTM motor instead of the Husaberg

The arms when you look in the new dirt wheels dont look to afe.. look like they can break easy or if you crash in the wrong spot... looks kinda unsafe but also I bet it hauls

It looks like it would bounce like a pogo-stick if you jumped it

incase you missed what i said b4 or didnt know what it meant. pdv= point deu vaux (sp?) which if im correct is a pretty hard race that will take everything out of your quad. if the 2 of them both held up and were competitive with all those other quads... id feel safe on one anyday.

I rode one several weeks ago (for about 5-10 minutes) I was seriously going buy one until I rode it. It did rip with a KTM 520mxc motor in it, but it felt very aqward. The suspension was great at high speeds but felt a bit stiff in first and second. I think it would make a great duner or desert bike with some work. The primary problem I had with it was for a price tag of nearly $16,000 w/motor it just seemed to be cheesy ie contruction and materials. I would much rather have a Sundahl framed banshee!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yea, Im sure if you were given one and it was your sand you got used to it and then rode a 400ex you would say the same for a 400ex like you did a eraser.. its just getting used to it and stuff..

Of course I would have gotten used to it! The reason I did not buy it was that I was not very impressed with its overall construction. I am a stickler for detail (Ask CBW) I was not going to spend $16,000 on something that would take another 16,000 in custom parts to make me happy. JMO

i would think that it would handle jumps like a dream..

even if you did land a little off either way,. i would LOVE to try one on the track and the dunes..

i didnt read the article yet, i am sorta believeing that it wouldnt handle very well, lust the way the leading arms are set up .. i dotn know..

i am most likely wrong...

either way it is an awesome quad

Only thing that is really wrong with it is the price tag... but the motor alone is worth tons itself..

I would personally go with the berg motor those things are monsters, even though the ktm are very fast.

03-04-2003, 01:09 AM

well u gotta give new things a chance. If you always go with the old and never want to advance to something that feels alittle different then an old quad, then this sport will never advance. You gotta give it a chance and let it prove itself and wait and see if its good or not. Dont just jump on it and say its terrible because you didnt like how it felt when u rode it or u didnt like the looks of it or the suspension. Give it a chance. No flame intended.

People on this site really piss me off sometimes..........WHY do some of your guys avoid reading a post all the way through before asking questions that have already been answered?

03-04-2003, 01:46 AM
