So last night I decided it was time to take off the carb and change out some jets, took out the stock pilot put a 42 in and a 158 main and slapped it all back together went out this morning to see how it was, and boy was I amazed no throttle pump before half choked fired up and idled perfect! Still pops out the exhaust so I think I have an exhaust leak but no matter ill fix that. So thanks everyone for advice

Yea I can't figure out why mine is making that slight pop or cognition noise while its idling, can the exhaust gaskets tear when u take headers off?

You're supposed to replace those exhaust gaskets every time you remove the exhaust headers and re-install them because they are a copper crush ring style gasket, and they form a "custom" seal every time they are put on. So if you re-used the old ones chances are that's what the problem is.
