Nope, I thinking its an electrical issue. SCR has not returned my call so I guess I'll have to figure it out on my own.
The coil wire has a built in ground wire that was not hooked up and I did notice it letting off a spark when the end was near metal. I've not had a chance to test it with it properly grounded.
It ran good b4 with the wire off...fyi.
Jetting is correct ..... Dyno tested a week ago. It ran fine on the dyno (didn't get flogged on like it would on a track)
It runs great at 1st then starts backfiring very bad and runs very bad.........Ideas?
Float adjustment - running out of fuel?
TRX124 SCR built.

if you think it is electrical on a Honda 90
Go to the black /yellow wire to the coil.
Most common even on the twin spark.
That wire goes directly to the cdi.
Doesnt matter what kind of cdi.
We usually replace it,during the build.

Mr. H, I used an ohm meter to check the Nology coil and it checked out. While there I used the meter to check the continuity of the blk/ylw wire and it was good.
Is there a way to test the stator with this meter?
If it's not a stator issue then next is the mystery cdi box.. Adjustable Vortex cdi ignition (don't know what part number)

Spoke to Scott the other day. Hoping the stator is the issue.....
