hey all. i have herd of adjusting you throttle many a time. and i kow you can do this on the left side of the throttle body but whenever i turn that all its doing is adjusting the idle speed:( and the throttle lever itself has a good 1/4" of freeplay in it. is there any way i can fix this? and i have tried fixin it at the adjustment screw thing but it doesnt help at all.

You need to pull back the black rubber boot on the end of the throttle cable at the handle bar end. There is a threaded adjuster with a lock nut on it underneath. Back off the lock nut a little, turn the adjuster out enought to remove the excess play, and re-tighten the lock nut. You should leave just a little slack, but not much.

he's sayin he adjusted it and there is still play in it, i think you might have to take the 3 screws out and mess with stuff inside the thumb throttle. not sure though.

yea i think i'll have to pull the cover off because every time i adjust the screw, i get nothing but a higher idle speed
