Clutch?

I have an 07 400ex and i think the clutch is starting to slip, would tht have any effect on power like making it doggish

Usually it will slip in the higher rpms, seem like you will have power then it pretty much flatlines or slips and you can physically feel it.

Yea you can really notice (as CJM said) when you hammer it, your engine revvs up but your not gaining much speed.

My 01 ex is doing that. is it important that the clutch is replased right away? and how can i tell if the clutch basket is good or not?

I dont think its going to explode or anything, but it will keep getting worse and worse until you go to shift into gear and it just revs up and wont move forward.

Just basically check the basket for grooves i think.
