300ex Carb Question?

Will a CRF250F carb be a good choice on a stock 300ex with a pipe? It currently has a 400ex carb on it and i really dislike them. Any info will be great. -Thanks

Probably be over carbureted at that point. If it had a big bore piston/cam then maybe you would see some gain.
