What is the length from bolt to bolt on the front shocks and bolt to bolt on the rear shock of a 400ex?
Also, what is the diameter of the bolt hole/bolt where you mount the shocks?
I would measure this myself but my 400ex isn't with me right now.
-Thanks!

I think the front ones are 15", the rear one I'm thinking is maybe 14" but I'm not sure.

Alright thanks guys.
Does anyone know the rear one though, and the dimension of the bolt/bolt hole that mounts them on? I'm looking to make struts and need these little measurements.

I believe I drilled mine out with a 3/8 drill bit...I think.

I'm pretty sure the extended length of the rear is 15.5"

I just measured some stock shocks for you. 16.5 for the fronts and 15.5 for the rear. And its a 10mm bolt that bolts the shocks on. If you are making drag struts , i would recommend making it sit a little lower. .................. And just for everyone I measured 86 trx250r front shocks 16.25 / 88 and 89 16.5 / rear for all trx250rs 16.5 / and trx450rs 17 for fronts and 15.5 for the rear.

Thanks a ton man! And yeah, I'll probably make it 2-3 inches lower but I might put on blaster shocks in the front and a strut in the rear because someone posted and said that the a arms will just about be straight across if I put blaster ones on and then I'll have alittle suspension too.
