A little computer help please.

For some reason my computer has copied a bunch of picture files and I now have picture files full of copies along with the originals. I can delete them one at a time but is there a way to isolate just the copies and delete just the copies in one click? If I set my view to details it reads like this.
File 0001
File 0001(2)
File 0001(3)
File 0001(4)
File 0002
File 0002(2)
File 0002(3)
File 0002(4)
File 0003
File 0003(2)
File 0003(3)
File 0003(4) and so on.
The last three files in the list are the copies.
I can’t highlight just the copied files without it including the original file.

Any way to speed up the clean up?

I’m looking for a way to delete all the copies without have to do just 3 at a time. I want to do the whole folder without having to do them in grope of 3.

Hold down the ctrl button and click the mouse and drag all you want into the box that appears.

You can also use the ctrl button and highlight or un-highlight specific files as well.

I tried highlighting a copy and holding the shift down and clicking each one I wanted to delete, but as I work my way down the list and go to skip the original file and continue to the next group of copies it wants to include the original even though I didn’t click on it.

Ok I have another question. The technique of holding down the ctrl and highlighting each file I want to remove is an improvement, but is there a faster way. Can I highlight “File 0001(2) and have it automatically pick up all the files with the (2)s all the way down the list without doing each one or group? Some of these picture files have hundreds of files and it still takes a lot of time highlighting them all. And if I make a mistake and not push the ctrl before I highlight the next group you lose all the ones you had highlighted.

If you made all the copies at once, you can sort them by date created. If they were created at the same time, they will be grouped together.
