Has anyone installed a Curtis Sparks ignition key and cdi box? Is ther really that much difference

They are only worth it if you hit ur rev limiter a lot. It will be harder to start though in cold weather. I dont recommend it.

The sparks timing key is well worth the money. It really helps out the throttle responce.:)

Yea that is a plus, but i ride in a lot of cold conditions so mine would never start.

The CDI makes it tough to start in the cold, but the key doesn't. I had one in mine for a while, but Sparks recommended I take it out because my quad was too heavily modded. I took it out & it does run better. If I ever switch to alky, I will probably put it back in.
I would recommend the key on a mostly stock quad, but would say to stay away from an aftermarket CDI.

Was the key hard to install? I also just saw online that Big Gun claims 1hp gain from there cdi:confused2

Yea that aint a bad idea. Maybe i'll try it when i get my 416 kit in April.:macho
