ok so i bent the steering stem on my 400 i was wonderin if any of u guys have ever had luck strightining any of them out or extending them im on my second factory one an dont really wana buy another one if i dont have to let me kno what u guys think

A guy local to me builds his own A-Arms and extends his own steering stems.. he cuts the top off the stem, extends it with similar sized tubing, then adds some gussets to the top.. Looks good on his YFZs.

you wouldnt happen to have any pics of it would u? i just want sumthin to go by for gussets cuz i wasnt even thinkin of gussetin it just put a solid slug between the two pices when i cut em off

Which is what he did also, (slugging the shaft) He used round tubing to gusset the top. I found a picture, it's an aftermarket stem, but the gussets on top will give you an idea..

thanks man yea that dont look like that bigg of a deal an thats kinda what i figured would be the best way to do it with the slug

Unrelated, but, I'm guessing you modded your frame for the +2" arms? I was thinking about doing that.. how did it turn out for you?

it wasnt that bad actully had to cut the rear monts off an move them back like a half inch sum of my friends thought i was retarted for cuttin my frame but it was cheaper i got em for 75 bucks with tie rods off my buddie an it took me like a weekend to do it

I bent my burgard one and we straightened it with a 40 ton press
