Twist to thumb thrtottle

As it says, just got my sons 90 and it has a twist throttle on it. Need to go to a thumb setup. Which assembly are you guys using? Any one better for the kids than another? And while i am here, why does this thing lack bottom end power? Just figured it would put my lt80 to rest with ease! Are they mostly high rpm screamers or maybe needs a diffferent setup?

I have a honda thrrottle from a 400ex but just not sure what cable to use. I did a search and found that the honda 200x cable and honda throttle is going to work but would like to if that is the way to go for little hands.

My little girl is 5 a small 5 and thats the set up we use. The stock DRR housing has to much travel the honda is much shorter so they don't have to push as far.

Buy a cable for a apex. Thats what I used. Works great. The RPM is just a honda copy.

Well i got her all fixed up. Twist cable was @1.5" too long. Figured i would order a cable in the morning but used a spare fitting that came with my terry cable throttle housings. Threaded all the way into the cable and housing i have @1/4" freeplay. Adjusted it out and all good to go EH! Thanks for all the help guys. Much appreciated. Wish we did not have all this snow to test it out. Maybe will have to drive out to the indoor mx track!

Can you use any Honda thumb throttle or is there a certain size? Does the APEX cable thread into a Honda housing?
