The Saber could use a variety of rods. My 496 uses a 70mm destroked crank with a Artic Cat rod. A normal rod uses a 18mm wrist pin, the one i have uses a 24mm. Its HUGE!!

That is an awesome price but for most guys a Puma is "MORE" than enough and less complicated of a build which equates to a lot less money.

Installing that with a stock tranny would annihilate the tranny in no time flat one would think.

I hope some dragger sees this and lands the deal but I have a feeling "known" builders that frequent here will snap that up and flip it making some serious cash.

There is a guy out your way that runs a Saber with a stock tranny that has been backcut and is override by Pete@Hybrid. It has worked well for him.

I've got the same topend and crank to go with it. if you wanna put this motor together it won't be cheap, but Pete @ Hybrid is your man. He does a hellva job! You'll pay for it, but you'll be nicelly rewarded for your time, money and effort. Once you go big there's no going back!!
Thanks Higgy!

Thats funny you should mention that today! I'm going up there tomarrow to pick up my motor from him. I'm just getting the bottomend that he put back together, until I have enough to do the Topend and decide what size I wanna go with. I think that I'm gonna do around a 350 to 370cc for my LRD Attitude project. With the frame being aluminum and all! Then I'm working on building a Sabertooth Drag motor, but thats gonna be aways down the line. I have everything for the Sabertooth except the tranny. A brand new Topend, crank, Carburator and set of cases. I even found a brand spanking new left side case. The right side case is used, but looks real good!!! They will both have to be machined for the larger head, but its gonna be a bad boy! The carb is a 50mm Lectron. However, I gotta finish up this LRD project first. You can't go wrong with Pete though, he does great work!!
Thanks Higgy!

Wow thats a big carb!! I'm sure thats gonna make a badass Saber motor, in the the right hands! I just got my bottomend back from Pete today and it looks great! I'm glad I polished it up! He said that he's got alot of work that should keep him busy until June. I told him that I may be sending him some work if he wants it. I'd call him and see what he says? He's a good honest and reliable builder so you'll be in good hands if you choose to go that route!!!
Thanks Higgy
