250r rear axel

i have heard that the 250r rear axel fits the 400ex is this true ? if so is it something worth doing?

You'll need 250r hubs, but it works fine.

Why are you switching it? If it's because the stock one is pooched and you found a cheap replacement, go for it.. but a new 'G-Force' axle is only 200$

well the guy said its a +1 and i wanted to get a wider axel and it looks like a nice axel so i was thinking about it just not sure if its worth it. i dont want to buy it before i know if its gonna be worth it .
