400ex cr250 hybrid update...

Here's some updated info on the hybrid project, Ive had some seat time and this thing has far exceeded my expectation's. It starts right up, idle's good and haul's butt. I made a custom hood to cover up the radiator and create a hood scoop to force air at the rad but it looks like a mailbox...lol.

I tried to make it look like a 250r or 250ex headlight but its kinda bigg, I also took my stickers off the plastic and mounted the silencer to make it more quiet. I took the drag bars off and put my low rise bars with a new foam honda pad on, I took off the rear shock setup and put my drag strut on.

It really ride's great!

Here's some pic's and some video of it running, let me know what you think about the hood "I know it's kinda big" but I want more opinions, let me know if you want a more detailed pic of something else also?

Thats awesome man! why not put the rad down in between the frame rails?

I would of really liked to put it in the rails bellow the front fender, the problem I had was routing the rad hose's, they would have ran straight into the exhaust and needed some serious tweeking to fit right.

The way it is now makes the lines run nicely were they need to go without any interference, the downfall is a smaller radiator and needing to come up with a cover for where the lights used to be.

I also like that the pump doesnt have to work so hard to circulate the coolant.

I wanna hook up a 12v or 18v nicad RC car battery to my spal fan and try to burry the rad under the fenders and use my old hood or a 250r hood!

:devil: BADASS man. nice job. Id love to see that thing at the dirt drags with some paddle tires.

and on the hood........if you can find a 250r quadtech hood, they set up fairly tall and you could cut the front hole a little bigger and get maximum airflow and still look good.

Isnt it illegal to put a kawi motor on a honda? :D
