I'm looking to buy a good set of paddles for my 400 for when I take a trip to the dunes. I'm gunna go with the curved paddle style rather than straights. I've narrowed it down to either the ITP Sandstar or the Maxxis Razr Blade. They look damn similar and nearly the same price. Anybody ever ran either of these and could comment?

Really any paddle tire makes a good tire, if you wanna be budget minded get AMS sand snakes they are only like $29 at www.rockymountainatv.com

If you want a REALLY good paddle tire get skat trak, they are the best but can be a bit pricey and for inexpensive skats youd be getting a 21in 8 paddle like the ones I have.

Im looking at getting a set of AMS sand snakes myself, I wanna keep the 8 paddle but I want a 20in tire instead of a 21in. IMO a 20in 8 paddle is like 21in 10 paddle and easier to spin.

I use the 8 paddle skats at the local 300ft dirt drags and I beat modded banshees and 450rs all day with my 440ex, not saying you will have the same result just saying that the cheaper skats are still good tires.

we run sandstars on all of our sport quads. theyre an awesome tire and have held up well. handle bikes from a 250ex to my mild 450er well. I have a pair of skats also but usually just run the sand stars.

I beleive that the AMS sand snakes are a straight paddle. The AMS sidewinder is a v paddle. I just bought a set off of Amazon for $33 plus $13 shipping. should b here tomorrow. I guess they are gonig out of business or something, but I read a bunch of good reviews on them on Rocky Mountain.

Sandstars, I ran a set for awhile and was quite happy. The maxxis razr blade is pretty much the same thing.

My holeshots only have about 40% tread left now and i need some cheap, good tires for the races this summer, and both of those are under 30 bucks.

I went ahead and ordered the ITP Sandstars in 20x11x9. I would have ordered the curved Skat-Traks, but they didn't have them in a 9 inch rim size. I've rode the Sandstars on mine before, I liked them. Thanks for the input guys!
