I am a new Forum's user but have read a lot here so far. However I can not answer my basic question. When the weather warms a bit I plan to ride in an area that has lots of trails and streams to cross. There will be foot deep up to about 20 inch deep streams (with lots of rocks) to cross. My (new to me) all stock 2008 650 is in great shape with only 190 miles and I would like to know when/at what depth I should be particularly careful concerning water depth, Thanks, Stan

Once you get towards the top of the engine(or where you get close to the top of the front fenders) is where you should start worrying a little. That is when the water starts to get up to that point where the intake and wiring is (even though the wiring should be weather proof).
