View Full Version : Quad sitting lop sided - again

OK, my quad used to sit very lop sided, leaning more to the left side. When I lifted the front end up and the front right wheel would come of the ground before the left one. I replaced the old frame, which, seemed to fix the problem. The old frame had cracked and been welded on one side, that is what I think caused the problem. I finished the frame transplant last weekend, and rode twice. I rode again this weekend, doing some pretty big jumps. I noticed the quad sitting funny again this morning. I lifted the front end up and again the front right wheel was coming up before the left one. It wasn't as bad as with the old frame, but still noticeable. I didn't see any visible bends in the frame, I know the axle and rear hubs are straight. The A-arms appear to be straight, but the camber looks slightly different on each side. I guess my question is has anyone else had this problem? Could it be a problem with the front shocks, one set up differently than the other? The pre load is set the same on both sides. I'm hoping it's the A-arms because that would be the cheapest and easiest to fix. They appear to be straight, but this doesn't mean that they are. Has anyone else had this problem?

Tire pressure is around 4.5 rear and 5 lbs on front tires, it is even on both sides

Hey mitch400, Ive had the problem with the shocks not leaving the ground at the same time but not a lop sided bike. Do you have aftermarket shocks? I do and the shockwears got pinched and ate up from the spacers in the shocks and some of the material from the shockwear was stuck in their not letting the shock fully extend. Just a suggestion if you have shockwears and aftermarket shocks
