Ok so my last post got way off subject !! I have a 04 400ex with a stage 3 hot cams cam and a 450 timing chain and a hmf slip on pipe and is jetted. I was wondering what would be the best motor up grade to do ? Should I do high compression or just a big bore? What would be the best pistion to run? I can get 100 octane gas at a lot of gas stations hear so Im not worried about that but would it be worth it or would it cause more problems than its worth? Any and all info will be welcom I want to hear what you think is the best way to go.

Do a 416 or 426 with a 11.1 to 1 compression.Use a good piston and rings and a Cosmetic gasket kit. Use the head gasket that is rubber looking on both sides. Have the HD studs in the jug. Then after you wear that out then go the 440. I've got the stage 2 HotCam done to a 426. Wiesco piston but I did the 10.1 to 1 compression. Didn't do the HD studs but I wish I had. I'm still pleased with set-up I have.
