why would anybody do that? they do have sand trails at places like little sahara though..

Yep Ive done it before, our trails are sandy (it is a sand pit tho). Its ok, I have no traction problems, just annoys anyone following you, as you kick up ALOT of stuff.

Idk, are paddles good in mud and water or just really strictly sand?

They probably would work okay in the mud but I wouldn't try it, I think they would wear quick and be hard on your transmission. They work great in snow I hear though!

They work INSANELY well in creeks that have deep water crossing that only a 4x4 should attempt, as long as you don't drowned out your motor. I had a set on my 400 this last summer when we went riding in a sandy creek with a deep waterhole every now and then and I was getting around just as good if not better than the 4x4s. It sounds crazy, but if you got the power to turn them once they start digging into the soft sand under water they are ANIMALS!

Also they throw rocks and everything like crazy, so don't get throttle happy if you have a few friends following you down a gravel road and you have them on.
