A member on here named "wheelie" makes timing keys for the EX, he makes very quality keys and a bunch of members here preffer his over sparks.

Look him up and see what he says?

I'm thinking about placing an order on Monday.

07honda400ex--

I can only get you the key, the puller and gasket you'll have to order yourself. If still interested in key, how many degree's advance would you like?

Wheelie how much for a 6 deg. key shipped to 74019 when they are ready also are they the offset key or the thin key like sparks id like to have the offset because it seems stronger filling up the whole gap instead of just moving it and holding it with a thinner key on that note has anyone had problems with sparks keys?

I cut the stock key, so the bottom is the full width. The top has a notch cut in it to advance the timing.

could you also possibly make a shim to install in the void when the flywheel is advanced i know it may sound stupid to guys who have already done this mod with no problems but i just dont like the idea of a gap in the flywheel keyway ive seen crankshaft damage on cars that i work on from loose keys or balancer bolts coming loose [just to be clear from previous repairs done by someone other that me:p ] so it would make me sleep easy at night if i had the full space taken up by a key ora key and shim combo if im being too concerned please excuse me its my first quad and my first mod so i want it to be perfect

A shim would be a waste of time. If the flywheel isn't properly installed the key will shear immediately.

A flywheel key does nothing once the flywheel is installed, the idea that the flywheel key holds the flywheel in place after the flywheel is torqued is incorrect.

All a flywheel key does is insure proper orientation of the flywheel during installation. If the flywheel is properly installed, shearing the key, flywheel movement or potential damage will NEVER be an issue.

In all truth, one could install a flywheel without any key at all and have it work fine. I wouldn't recommend it though.

yea never crossed my mind that the after the flywheel is pressed on the key could be removed and it still shouldnt turn thats why we need a puller to get it off had to revert back to small engine experience and stop thinking of this thing like a car

The keys I sell are $15 shipped to anywhere in the lower 48 states, regardless of advance.

I sell only the keys, no pullers or gaskets.
