which is faster,350x or 400ex

i was wondering if anyone knows which is faster,a stock 350x or a stock 400ex?????????

i believe a stock 350x is faster than a stock 400ex, but only because it only has 3 wheels instead of 4. I think that the stock 400ex motor puts out a couple of more horespower though.........someone correct me if iam wrong

i raced a 350x with my lightly modded 400 and won..i was kinda surprised.

we never had a flat out, top end race where we ran till there wasnt anymore

the 350x is quite a bit faster and more powerfull. THe engine actualy puts out a little more hp then the ex. the 350x engine is still being used in some four stroke class race machines

oo yea. but its mainly faster because its alot lighter. if booth engines were in a 400ex frame the 350x might beat it by a bit but thats only because the 400ex was downtuned by honda. the 400ex has alot more potential then the 350x

I have an 86 350X, and a 00 400EX. They are both piped and jetted very similar. They are both running K&N air filters and stock gearing. The 350X is faster in a longer drag race. In a short drag race, the 3 wheeler is only slightly faster. I believe it is because the trike has a 6th gear. I spend more tome on the 400EX, so when I ride the 350X, it usually feels faster. If you put them both on a MX track, the 4 wheeler would take the edge because it's easier to ride. Since I've been riding 3 wheelers for close to 20 years, I'm just as fast on the trike. Either way, they're both a blast to ride. It's pretty cool to beat a person on a quad, while riding a trike! The trike was faster than the quad when they were stock. Hope this answers your question.
