What upper and lower ball joints are the best to run. I am fabricating a set of A-arms for my houser quad and will soon be doing the same for my brothers YFZ. We are both running long travel shocks.

I am using 1/2" Himes joints on the frame side and planning on using an Aroura Himes joint with a king pin design for the uppers. I saw a quad using tie rod ends off a 73 VW Bettle for both his uppers and lowers but I sm worried they won't have sufficient articulation.

Any thoughts?

most of the front end out there(except heim ones w/ kingpins) use either 14mm(older a-arms) or 16mm vw tie-rod ends. Moog sells a part is the exact same as a vw tie-rod end, but it has more movement. It one number or letter longer than the car number. When you call to get his part, they will ask you how you go this part # and might tell you they aren't allowed to sell this part to individuals(just fab companies/shops).
