I did. They are 4" eagle eye's off my rover. I cut put the stock lights, fabbed a hood & btacket for the stem, they work awesome. Mine only draw 35w, most are 50w but u should b cool

ill have to check my wattage . but does anyone know if 400ex's have just a tail light or is it a break and tail ?
05+ has both brake and tail, any thing earlier is just a tail.

Love the light setup!
I especially like the fact it's mounted directly to the handle bars.
Do you have any close-up pics?

i don't have any upclose shots, but i got the idea from the baja designs website. i saw how they mounted the mount, and fabbed up my own. i used simple connnectors so i can take the lights on and off simply. the way i wired them is directly to the high beam wires since there is no hi/low beam on the hids.

You can SAFELY, only use a 35w HID conversion with a stock OEM stator.
Sure, a 55w set-up will still work, but you will be slowly killing your battery, as well as working the crap out of the stock stator.
Will a 55w set up work ?
short answer - yes
Is it a very good idea ?
short answer - NO !
