Whats the difference in a 04 05 frame than a 06 07 frame. Can you put a 06 07 engine on a 04 05 frame?

yes you can the only difference is they used a different metal spec. some say it was to reduce weight while making it stronger some say it is for cost savings..
however the subframes are different between a kicker and a electric start. because of the battery mount.

I put an 07 motor in an 05 frame about 3 years ago. It wasn't a hard swap but you will run into small mods. I ended up having new aluminum spacers machined for the motor mounts. You will have to drill to mount the 07 cdi due to the cdi mounting different on the 05. The subframe is different but if your motor is a kicker you will be find with the 05 sub
