Where To Find A Good/Inexpensive Bumper?

I'm in need for a bumper for my 05 400ex because it is one of the things i don't have. I really want the pro armor mx one but it is about 120 or so dollars and im already in the hole 1,000 dollars due to a vehicle accident...

Is there any good quality/inexpensive bumpers out there under 60 bucks? I know all the ones under 60 bucks will probably be crap, but i can't afford too much at the moment.


*And does the 450r/250r bumpers fit on here? I heard stories they do and stories they don't.

there are not many new under 60. go on the classfieds on here and post WTB bumper for 60 or under.

Check out eBay, I bought a black moose front bumper to match my 400 it was real cheap and fit perfectly

Looks wise I agree with you but my stock bumper has outlasted any of my aftermarket ones :P not as much protection for the woods but I stuffed my front bumper on some whoops in 4th gear when I crashed and it didn't budge or break, ripped my black paint off though :(

Rohr397: Yep i know man, i hit a few things with mine and it only bent it but did nothing else to it. I just wanted the aftermarket bumper just for looks because my fourwheeler looks nice besides the bumper.

chevymanrick: Yeah i'll have to look around there too but i normally just typed in honda 400ex bumpers and all the ones i saw were pretty expensive besides the stock one. :p

250r Bumpers wont work.. bottom mount is too narrow

400ex / 450r/ z400 might fitt too (<- I know they can made to fit the 250r with spacers like the 450r/400EX bumpers do)

Ltr450 bumper fits on a 400ex but a ltr450 bumper wont fit on a z400. The z400 top bumper mounts are too wide. Weird right?

I put an 04 or 05 450R bumper on my 400EX. They are the larger aluminum ones. I like it and I think I only paid $10 for it.

My bumper is a 250r bumper, it's not hard to make one fit if you find it cheap enough. Just put each mount in a bench vise and yank on the bumper as hard as you can whichever way needed and it eventually comes over, or you can use a pipe wrench. I think the top mount fits fine, but the bottom mounts are too close together on the bumper by about an inch.

I might look into gettin that 450r bumper for now if there that cheap. I just need more protection in the woods and my stock bumper isn't in the best condition out there. So will any year 450r bumper mount right up?

dxcody: Are LTR bumpers any cheaper than 400ex's?
