Am i crazy or is this guy the idiot?I dont know much about atv's but i dont think my questions were all that demanding. Were they? Thats were it ends for me.Not gonna bother looking at it.I'd rather find another 400ex for sale closer to stock with a better owner.I think a qualified mechanic would have no problem answering those questions and telling you everything thats ever been done if he stands behind his work.I think the way someone words a CL add is as important as the pictures.CL's is a good tool but some people just ruin it!

I to have been trolling CL alot lately looking for a 450 and some of the crap you see on there....from "will trade my 93 blaster that needs a top end + my xbox for your 450R" to just stock 01 400ex that looks like every kid in town learned to ride on it for $2500 next add down full race set up with paper work on rebuild for $2200 I dont get it....:confused:

Well it looks like raptor plastics to me, maybe it has a banshee 350 engine but it sure doesn't look like it, idk if the raptor comes in 350, the warrior did but I don't think raptors did.

The whole ATV market is a joke now because of craigslist, nobody knows what there ****s worth and nobody knows what to pay for stuff most the prices are random as hell, the worst I see are the banshees though, I can't find a decent banshee that isnt beat to **** for under 3gs and the 400ex's are ridiculous too, I'm not paying 2 grand for your bonestock ex with 400hrs that's 12 years old and hasn't had an oil change since 2005. Then again every once in a while a hell of a deal comes up on CL due to our toilet bowl of an economy, so there's some good on there I guess. Oh ya and if you can't spell simple words and TYPE IN ALL CAPS then chances are I'm not buying crap from you.

I have no idea where to begin on what's wrong with this ad. For starters it's clearly a 4 stroke, ruling out the banshee possibility. Those are also raptor 350 plastics... there's no such thing as a 350ex btw. He refers to the year as an 04 which is the last year warriors were made ie the raptor 350 wasn't around. So what i think the thing could be is a warrior with raptor 350 plastics or a raptor 350 and he has the year wrong

Im a banshee owner and a frequent on banshee sites and I found that banshee owners are separated into 2 categories. People who know there **** and spend money on the bike, and bottom of the barrel atv riders who wear football helmets when riding.

For some reason in my area every stock banshee is too fast for beginners and fully race ready.

I went back and forth via email with the guy. He would answer the simple question of what's been done to the motor. He just kept saying its fast, and will do 100 mph, and that it would smoke any 250r. Eventually I told him that no one with any real knowledge of it is going to pay 3500 for a stock Banshee just because he says its fast..
