Starting my Leager build #2

Well I found a deal on a pro-trax front end and a frame and swing-arm so I looked around and I have enough stuff to put together another one. My plan is to do an old Nacs replica with this one.

Its an old 94 model no-link and is in really good condition except the rear motor mount had a crack that I had tig welded. It is at the powder coaters right now. It will be white along with the swing-arm and the a-arms will be grey hammertone and the stem and subframe will be chrome.

I see the hood on those fenders has a 708 on it. Would that happen to have belonged to Harold Goodman?

I agree. Im loving all these builds you have going on Dustin. Wish I had a laeger r in my garage being finished.

All these build here lately I'm getting the fever again I have a stock frame hanging on the wall screaming at me, since it sounds like Joe isn't going to be selling his Laeger anytime soon...Can't wait to see this build go together love the Nacs quads

Just got the chassis back from powdercoater! I called LSR and they told me they used Dupount Red Baron Red so thats what I went with.

What's the story on that subframe? It looks pretty unique.


Any chance you could confirm whether or not the rear shock mount is the same as a CR500 link rear?

The subframe is a Leager. The bend is to clear the caliper for TT racing. I got it on the TT bike I got a few months back that was Shane Hitts. It's not light weight and it fits perfectly. I chose to run it on this bike because I will be using this bike mostly for quad wars and GP style MX at Durhamtown in Ga. This bike will sit a little lower than most mx bikes but not as low as TT bikes so it should work out just fine. The chrome is kinda nice too!! Lol

I will compare the two Leagers tonight to confirm wearer or not they are the same.

Looking good Dustin, what motor you planning on putting in that baby? Just curious, are You using that steering stem with the protrax?

Yea thats funny,all that time it was just sitting there! Yea we will have to get together at DP. I do still want those parts sorry we didnt get together on SX weekend. We will get it figgured out soon.

Im going to put my old FMF complete set up in this one as its going to be somewhat of a Nacs bike! I just dont have blue plastic yet so it will probably get the white oem plastic that I have with blue tank and blue hood and seat and Nacs graphics.

Yea Im going to use this stem because the protrax stem I got from you is slightly bent but no worries its very slight (I will get it straightened eventually). Plus this one has nice chrome and I also have a set of tie rods that take ball joint ends on the inside and heims on the outside!

I see, I tried checking that stem out good as I knew how, sorry about that. Can't wait to see that thing finished up though, great job on all these builds.

Got alot done on the engine install! Im going to try something a little different. Normally Im a ferm beleiver in grouping parts together like cylinder,pipe,intake all the same brand. This one has the FMF cylinder and intake and it makes a ton of power on the bottom and mid but not much top end so Im going to try a Sparks TT pipe and silencer to try and get good power through out. If it dont work out Ill put the FMF pipe back on.

Finished up saturday, Had to put my peps off my 450 on the front for now(they accually felt pretty good). Just a little more fine tuning to do and its perfect. The no link rear felt good also. Couldnt hardly tell a difference in it and my cr500. It deffently hooked up a little harder.
