2006 carb issue

My sister got a 2006 used Friday night and its cutting out just past half throttle bad. Personal expirience tells me the main jet is stopped up and its not. Or the needle to too low. I didn't pull the needle. The plastic holder through me off and its so cold I didn't feel like "learning" anything new today. It runs great up till it starts to cut out just past half throttle.

Any ideas?

Also, I've learned that the 05 had a different carb than the 06+ models. I saw the pilot jets are different. Are there any other differences?

Travis, my 02, 04, and my nephews 06 carbs are all identical, not sure about 05's. These are all California models maybe that makes a difference. Either way use what you know about cleaning carbs and you should figure it out. The small holes in the main jet tube may be plugged.
