adjustable needle jets

I read on a post in here that the 04 400ex has adjustable needle jets? I have a white brothers exhaust and a k and n uni with open lid box but the carb still has stock jets. The bike runs great but does hiccup when warming up a bit and will stall out at idle until its warmed. Is there a way for me to adjust for a richer setting on the low end or should I really just add larger jets? the bike runs awsome as is once its warmed up.

Likely the needle should be on the 3rd notch from the top (flat end). You really should upgrade to about a 150-152 main to give you the proper jetting and a 42 pilot to help with the cold starting.
