Yah,some guy named Pro400EXC got 1st....(in First Year)But hey,it was better than nothing, plus alot of guys that race A class in our local aces were gonna sand bagg a slow class,so i figured I'd race that class..

so i guess I bakced my chit talkin did in my other post....Yah

Yokley DNF'd cause a ventline came off and got cloged...I came up and told him it'll be iight, and you'll gett em next race.........He was kinda sad i guess you can say...

But heck yah, this was like Blackwater 2003...nothing but mud(well there was a nice tight dry woods section for 5miles(i flew threw there)

But yah,it was muddy as all heck,i got stuck alot, while abotu 20ppl just stand there(w/ there thumbs up there ***)while your struggled to get your muddy heavy wet quad out...(dang city slickers)

anyways,it was all fun,and yah Jeff did great....

Bad Ass440 got 3rd in the same class as me..

I got 29th overall outta 173ppl...

P.S.them ole 400's take alot of beating, mine drank about 1gal of muddy water.....but still runs like a cheetah..

I noticed Tom Tokay took 6th in Pro Production. Not bad for an old school rider! For you younger riders, Tom was the 85, 86, and 87 GNCC champ. If I'm not mistaken, he done it on a three-wheeler.

Like to give a congrats to James Shepard on his 5th place finish in Pro Prod. I ride with him at his mom and dads in Jonesboro, IL. What he calls his test track, I call his torture test. He is freaking insane out there. His best placement last year was I think 7th. Great job James!!!!

Extremeracer167
03-03-2003, 08:03 PM
each class takes off usually a minute or 2 apart. They have 2 seperate quad races. The afternoon which is C class' and womens class. Then the afternoon race has B, A, Pro Production, and Pro. The classes are on the track at the same time, but they space them apart at the beginning

My son came out of the first turn in first in 4stroke B and finished 4th. 77th overall. Pretty good considering he broke his arm last year at the Millfield race and really hasen't raced since. He ended up getting 2 plates and 11 screws after that screw up.

Well my first experience racing a cross country race was pretty good. I learned alot and now know how out of shape I'm in:ermm: I hit a tree at about mile 6 and bent my front bumper and lower a-arm, got stuck about 15 times and was just pure worn out. I ended up 16th out of 34 I think. So middle of the pack for a newbie, at least I was able to finish the thing:D

Congrats on all the good finishes, good to see the members doing well at the races.

03-04-2003, 08:31 PM
Dirk DeCesare got 4th in 250A, 35th overall after running out of gas and having someone give him some gas to make it to the finish line.

I got 2nd in 250B, 61st overall.

Talk about a mess, we need new brakes pads all the way around, maybe new motors, and probably alot more after we tear down the motors before we leave for GA on thursday night.

Fun race but it sucks the sand and water totally went through everything.

Big Question for you guys. My engine from florida is trashed. We took off the head and there was sand laying on top of the piston. I guess it was from all the sandy water. How can I stop this from happing again in GA? I run a uni filter with stock snorkle on a 250R?

IS that a 300ex in that pic with the red truck in the background? What mods does he have and what class did he race?

cdalejef
03-06-2003, 09:26 AM
Thats Dave McCarroll's 300ex and he won the sport class. It has an LRD 325 motor, lightened fly wheel, Elka shocks front and rear, TQS extended swingarm, IMS tank and PRM skids.

good run Jeff, i saw u out there!!! Boy those cdales make excellent submarines don't they. I heard of only one cdale dying in the water all day, D Destefano ran A and swamped his on the last lap. He went on his lid in the 2nd turn and came back through to the frt. by the end of the first lap, then swamped out near the end, that sucks!!!!!!

later J,

good run Jeff!!!!!!

Yo Joe. your just lucky i didn't race.j/k When you gonna hit the mx track again or go trail riding. Corey says he wants to show you his superman he can do. He said he would smoke you in a race. There's only one way to solve that!
