View Full Version : Hoods with Lights?

So I've been looking around for a sweet hood but I can't find any that you can keep the headlights with. Honestly I think it looks better with headlights and I use myn all the time. Anybody know where I could find a hood with a nice scoop in it that can accept headlights for the 05+ plastics? Thanks.

Pretty positive there is nothing.

Personally the stock headlights suck, Im going to be buying the fuego light mount http://www.bajadesigns.com/Products/ATV__and__UTV_PRODUCTS/atv-lights/LED_HEADLIGHTS and putting on some leds. The bars turn with you, the quad doesnt so much.

Yeah the stock lights do suck, but I like the looks of them better on the front then the bars but on the bars is convinient. If I can't find any hoods I might get a used stock one and make my own sort of vent or scoop.

I made my own custom vented hood, but not for attaching lights.

Thanks! It's more cosmetic than anything. Maybe a small amount of air reaches the oil cooler through it but probably not enough to make a difference.

That's a really nice design and I think that's along the lines of what I would try doing. Looks really good on the new plastics the way you did it!

I've got a quad tech hood on mine and I'm going to mount up an led front light inside the vent when I go to the dunes, I also plan to add some smaller handlebar lights but I think it would be really easy to get a basic light mounted inside the vent when you want it.

I'm not thinking of having it directly against the plastic though more like a bright light mounted against the frame. Sorta hard to explain but if you remember the light that was on my front bumper from my first walkaround video I'm thinking an led version of that. It'd be super easy to mount to that part of the frame and very affordable.

I'd like to get a QuadTech or Fourwerx scooped hood and get a rectangle light to fit up in it perfect and then put some mesh over it.
