I am listing this for a friend. I can vouch that this is a nice quad with some top notch parts! Quad is located in the Huntersville/Charlotte NC area.
This is a 2004 Gas Gas Wild 300 sport quad. If you don’t know about them I suggest you do some research to fully understand what they are about but, I will answer any questions you have.
From factory they are a close copy of a Honda 250r. They have chromoly frames, Brembo brakes, Ohlins shocks, full skid plate, and a 300cc two stroke engine with a power valve and hydraulic clutch.
I have done the following:
- ESR pipe and pro circuit silencer.
- Boysen reed valve and brand new reeds.
- The front end has been converted to bearings not ball joints.
- Steering stabilizer.
- New sprockets, and DID O-ring chain.
- New coated piston, 1 ride on it.
- Ported jug.
- Flexx bars.
- Currently thumb throttle, but have parts for twist.
- Pull cord kill switch.
- Hole shot tires, bead lock rear.
- New reinforced front rims narrowed spacing, have wider spaced rims also.
- New brake pads all around.
- REM treated transmission gears.
- New gas tank and valve assembly.
- New bearings in swing arm and linkage.
I have spare coated piston, hot rod, carb, factory stock control arms, uprights that have been deburred REM treated and Teflon coated. Parts are easy to get, and they still make these, but limited numbers are imported to the US.
The quad is fast, reliable, and needs nothing. The things that are bad are some scratches in the plastic, and a very small rip in the seat cover. Other than that everything mechanical is 100%, I just went through the whole thing which cost me a touch over 2 grand. I am selling because I want something else to try. I’d consider trades of equal value for example: jap 2 strokes dirt bikes of 2006 and newer, jap 4 stroke 450’s of 2008 and newer, or late model KTM’s. I am really looking to sell it, but you never know if you have a really clean bike needed nothing, maybe we can swap.
