if i got passed on the track by someone on a utility quad, i'd be like.... :huh

that was pretty sweet, though. definitely shows its all about rider and not machine.

I remember watching that back when I bought that DVD. I thought he was nuts. I can imagine you get crazy arm pump trying to get that big bear to turn on the corners and get the nose to dip in the air. There's another chapter on a different Huevos that had Rocky in it and he was jumping 100+ foot and climbing mountains of coal on a Renegade. He's a badass on a utility.

When I first watched this on the Huevos 9 DVD my jaw almost hit the floor. I had never seen a utility quad jump those distances. Rocky built one heck of a quad there and Rocky was one heck of a good rider. Its sad that he is no longer with us. RIP

He's not? What happened to him? I always liked watching him get crazy on those utility bikes.

This is a good example of a great rider and that every track has a rhythm to it, and if you can get on pace with the track, it will flow and all the jumps can be made.
Not all tracks can have a good rhythm to them, but some do.
It’s also a good example of how momentum can work to your advantage.
Sorry to here he is not with us anymore. RIP

Its not about the bike, he was a snowmobile rider, so he knew how to ride a bigger and heavier machine!!! Those things aren't bad after they have some modifications done to them. I rode one that a buddy built at my MX Track and it cleared the 30ft Double like it was nothing.... Looking forward to trying the 40FTer (which wasn't completed at the time)
