Idle scew on 400ex.

My idle screw broke on my 400 this weekend. The design is really poor. There is a screw with a braided wire that turns another screw inside the carb. I dont know why they dont just but a screw tip on the one comming directly out of the carb. The braided wire on mine got all frigged up and I had to take it apart to adjust it back.:mad: :mad: :mad: I was really ticked off.

Has anyone else had this problem??

when i was lookin at all the little gizmos on my carb it didnt look like it could fail:confused: :huh

If you look at the adjuster screw, there is a black cover over the wire and my wire came undone.

happened twice to me :( i now just adjust it at the throttle assembly

Yea i did that to finish the weekend but it revs up when i turn the bars.
