ok so i let my 450r sit this winter with gas in it, and sure enough it turned green and gummed up my carb.

i disassembled my carb completely and put it in my ultrasonic cleaner.

upon reassembly i noticed that the tps, as i was putting it back on, was slotted like it could be calibrated.

is there a procedure that i need to follow on the tps installation?

i havent installed the carb yet, just wondering about this sensor before i do install it.

Unless your dead set on running it i wouldnt worry about it. Alot of guys leave the TPS Unhooked. You wont have any problems leaving it unplugged. I always unplug mine for the fact but can never tell a difference toward the good or the bad either way.

There's procedure in the manual for setting it up.. 5K ohms (+/-1k) between pink and green/yellow (cold engine) wires. Then make sure resistance increases between the light green and green/yellow wires when opening the throttle. But as above said.. I sometimes don't hook mine up and can't feel difference... nor can anyone else I've heard of thats done the same...
