Hi guys, been a long time since I posted last! Anyway, I just got a Trail Tech endurance computer for the DS, I got it installed and entered all of the correct info into it, but I question the accuracy of the speed readings. I flew up the road today and it read 81.7 mph, which I know is not true since I am running stock gearing and no mods. I ran it last night and got a max speed of 146.3 mph. I think this is about double what I really did.
Has anyone had a similar problem? If so how did you correct it?
Thanks, 77

actually when i had my gps attached to my quad, it showed me @ 88.6 mph on 1 run. The ds is quick ,but @ 215 pounds i highly doubt i hit that speed stock. I would call it erroneous propagation...... It really does happen in real life. You play in weather, humidity, altimeter, relative and so on, it affects the outcome....

newjack: I know I wasn't doing 86 or 146.

Ham: Yeah, I know the weather and stuff affects the perfomance of a motor, but I don't know. I would like to have been going 80, but I guess I have to go find some cars or radar guns.:D

This is gonna sound stupid but make sure your calibrated for the correct units. If it is about twice as high, as you say, you could be in metric (centimeters) and need to change it to standard (inches). The conversion is 2.54cm to 1 inch. That might be your problem but other than that I don't know what to tell you. Let us know

Cleanshave: Actually, the Trail Tech computer uses metric units (mm to be exact) for it's readings.

So far, I have done about 15 circumference formulas and methods, and I averaged them out. I entered that number in my computer, and I am fairly satisfied with 76.3 mph.

Sounds good to me!
