awesome pictures, i always enjoy seeing pictures from other ppl who were into the sport very heavily at one time. Makes me think back to when i raced quite heavily. It always makes me ask, what are you doing now? Still riding much, if so what kinda riding, sport ridin or slow stuff lol.

Keep the pics coming man, I miss those ol days and all the old riders. Travis Spader, Doug Gust, Timm Farr, Shane Hitt, Keith Little, Jeremiah Jones, Dana Creech, Cody Miller and especially My buddy and nephews favorite Harold Goodman. Well him and digger, I have been going and used to race nationals at red bud the past 13yrs. As old as my nephew is and he has been going just as long, his first year he got so much free stuff and JJ mom fell in love with my little bud. JJ's parents are such good people and so was everyone else. Heck I probably met you at the red bud nationals, Nice pics bud keep them coming.

About them FMF engines I have 2 of them and they are some of the best running engines I have ever owned
1 of them came from Doug Gust that Terry Varner ported himself
its in dougs 00 nacs tt bike the other I got well over 10 years ago and unfortunatly my engine builder at the time messed up boring it and it and needs a sleeve .some day i will get it done These cylinders are a beast!

My FMF cylinder is also a Varner! It ripped and in 99 and 00 it was a team sponser.I just liked the higher reving Sparks engines. That FMF was all bottom and mid.I had the cyl,coolhead,cr intake, FMF tuned carb and fatty pipe. I ran a sparks silencer on mine because I thought the FMF looked gay. lol I sold the whole set up to pro Brian Mckinney several years ago. The leager that I just built was from Brian and it had the complete FMF set up. I am starting a new leager build now and it will be a Nacs replica and Im going to use the Fmf pkg.

I will see if I can find some team pics Im sure I have a few.

Were you with Nac's when Darren was still around? He was a super cool guy...He would go way out his way for ya. I was at a national TT in around 94 and had issue with my R and he and his crew helped me get it going and I was just a suport rider at the time. After we got it all fixed he had my Dad and I come join them in there pit...I was only 14 or 15 at the time and got to bs with Denton and everyone..I was on cloud 9 for months..lol

Steve, I was a support rider at that time also and did talk to him several times but we got close when I approached him to talk about his cancer. My dad had found out he had cancer about the same time and I needed someone to talk to. My relationship just went from their with the whole family!

Hey Dustin, I had a question for you about the picture with Nate Frees out ahead of you. Is that the bike he was running an LRD350PV motor by chance? Because I remember when LRD was selling that motor (now its LEDperformanceengines with Arlen Lehman back at the helm lol) and they said in the description that he won the Pro AM champoinship that year running that motor. I was just curious if you might have known anything about it. Awesome thread, please keep the pics coming. Thanks.

Nate frees.

He used to race here in iowa a lot (hes from the area). I used to look up to him. I have talked to him a few times about buying out all is left over R parts.

Thanks Higgy! I actually have a brand new chrome LRD 350pv pipe and silencer combo sitting on my shelf here in the shop!! Good job Matt. I was the one on the golf cart that came over talking to you about the r . I watched from the pit area before it goes into the woods and I saw two different photographers taking pics when you went by. I was telling Dustin about this today.

it was about 17 hrs for us to get down there, i had some good friends take down both bikes in case i got the itch to run it (same people that we built the pro trax 300 with). I was pretty pumped on the track when going down the straight along the fence, there was people waving shirts and hats, I think it made a couple of peoples day to see that old thing on the track. I was happy that i got to run it on that track, was humbling to say the least.

ok well here are some more pics, some from lorettas and the pic where i am having a laydown is the week before we went down south, i was testing out the 2 stroke for the first time at our local series. I havnt rode this thing in like two years and it didnt go as well as i had thought but i didnt twist up the bike at all so that was good. the hybrid is my other bike that i raced the 30a class, tumble in qualifying and a 16th gate pic led to a fairly dissapointing 10th overall, oh well it was a good vacation anyways. I will see if i can find more old pics of myself and my brother, we both have pro trax 250's.

the little wheeler had been sitting in a barn for about 20 years and the motor was locked up, for the cost of a pit bike engine i put a 124, 4 speed in it that has a kickstart so that was one of the reasons i needed to put a flip top on it, it definatly draws some looks at the track haha. There are three of us that have them in the pits, so i guess its safe to say we have our own gang of atc 70's.
