They are usually very loud. Look pretty dumb too but that's just my opinion.

I did mine too when i had my 400ex.

I had the baffle plates out at first, but then i put them back in.

Not loud at all really but looks alot better.

I think its the exact same sound output as before i cut it.

I also freshly repacked mine with FMF packing.

To my surprise when I turned ny white bros R4 into a shorty it actually was a lil quieter? I removed all the packing also so it was just a can?

It defied all logic...lol. but I really like the way it looks and sounds.

A shortened can will likely make less power than a normal sized one.

Also, the WB E-Series are tunable with the discs. So why shorten what is one of the best mufflers for the EX?

Just take out all the discs if you want to shorten it. I prefer to run mine with 8 discs as it runs better than with none at all.

i don't understand why people think shorties look good..? they look like the ugly little toe on people's feet, or megan fox's thumbs or something.

Different opinions from different people, just like you would probably disagree that the honda 450R is the best looking 450 out right now.

I didnt like how the can was the same length as the rear grab bar. I think this looks better. Just my opinion.

i understand different strokes for different folks. to be honest, the ones posted don't look bad to me. one question though, why is the first e series nearly parallel to the ground while the second one is tilted up towards the back?

I think its cause one is a full system and the other is a slip-on with a stock headpipe?

I just hate how they look, because It makes it look like your sporting a wee-little muffler for a wee-little motor.... ha ha

I think white brothers actually made 2 versions of the e-series. It's been a while since I researched it though.

Nope only 1 with the plate style tuning.

I must be thinking of the difference between the full system and slip on then.
