TRX350X prodject questions?? 300ex/350x

Hello new to the site.
at this moment i have a few questions.Not about the engine converting over but..
1. will a oversize clark tank work with the 300ex/350x conv. anyone have a pic of the bottem of the tank vs engine?
2. has anyone used maier custem rear plastics with mair race cut front will they form together? once again if so any pics?
3. how will the newer 2007 plastics work with the kickstarter.. ive seen a guy with an old 250x with the newer plastics so i thought id ask.
4.if i have to stick with the older plastics what are nicer options for a headlight? without the 400ex plastic swap or 250r hood add on. ive seen this asked multiple times but on older post. wandering if theres a new discovery.

Cut a notch for the kicker imo

We have the newer plastics but plan on running some of the trail tech lights, hoping to just mount them to the stock location at the steering stem

Awsome thanks dude.
Looks like the added fuel is at the bottem of the fuel cell. i was hopeing for more towards the neck. So prob going to hit the head of the 350x engine... ok thanks again bro!

I built one of these project a few years ago. I purchased a IMS gas tank to put on it, the gas tank would not fit, had to use factory tank. Do to extra deep bump on the bottom of the gas tank and the upper motor mount on top of the engine head. From the pictures show on here of the Clarke gas tank, it looks about the same as far as that issue. Hope this helps.

gotta run oem tank, also if your still doing this watch out for 350x oil pumps...they are nearly 30 years old, you can mod a new 300ex one to fit. its best to stretch the frame so everything fits better but its your call. stock for stock a 400ex has same power and its way newer.

Clarke tank wont work because it will hit the head. use stock flat bottom tank. you will need a 350x CDI and get the 250x wiring harness easyer to hook up. I have a 250x/350x hybrid. real fun toy love the six speed.

Does anyone know if the clutch plates from a 250x will fit and work in a 350x? Thanks

Yes the clutch plates will work in both bikes.
