Can you use a big bore cosmetic gasket top end kit on a standard bore? If not please explain.

I have heard of guys using the big bore gaskets for there standard bore and have no problems with them.

Yes it will fit, but not properly.

The EX besides a 440 kit can use anysize gasket kit b/c the piston never comes to the top fully.

Yes you can use it but of course it would be better if you used the original standard bore gasket size. Its common sense but yes it will work.

I'm mainly wandering if it will last as long. Or if it will cause problems down the road.

I cant say for sure if it will cause any problems or not. My educated guess would be yes, it will cause problems faster than an original bore size gasket would since its at stock bore now. Thats my 2 cents right there. Its better to be safe than sorry though so i would spend the 10 or 20 bucks for a new gasket that is meant for your bore size currently.
