cr250 question

Alright I know this is a 4 wheeler fourm but figured maybe somebody could help. I have a 98 cr250 runs great only thing is the kicker doesn't recoil. Like after I kick it it stays down and I have to pick it up and put it in place. Is there a fix for this??

Need to rebuild it I think, pretty sure honda sells a rebuild kit. I know theres a hole bunch of springs and stuff in there.

Just two, one for the ratchet assembly and one return spring, which is the one he needs. Drain oil, remove entire clutch side cover, remove spring. Since the spring is broken it should come off easily. Slide new spring over the shaft, inserting the inner tab into the kicker shaft, slide the collar on, lining up the slot in the collar with the inner tab. Now wind the spring and insert the outer tab into the proper hole in the case. Install clutch cover, fill with oil.................done.
