Ok so tomorrow I'm going to look at an 01 Polaris sportsman 500 and I am a Honda guy so what should I look for on it. Just all the pros and cons.

That's kinda what I figured the biggest thing I'm worried about is the belt drive are they a real pain to replace?

check the engine oil, right around 2000 the 500 engine would rub a cam lobe off , engine oil should be fairly clean since there is no clutch in the oil, check clutch engagement, polaris all that usually goes wrong is bushings and bearings, otherwise good quads

Check the steering they always seem to have problems with that. My grandpas went out of line for no apparent reason, like he drives 5mph I don't see how he could have knocked it out of line and my dad's was always crazy hard to turn.

SSo I looked at it today it seems to run good and it looks good the speedo don't work and it has the original tires on it that are about done for. It comes with a winch and a snow blade. I am looking at trading my 2005 450r for it with the mods in my Sig. My quad isn't really anything pretty to look at but there is nothing wrong with it. O and he is giving me 200 dollars cash ontop what do you guys and gals think?
