Anyone else race in the series just wondering who is on here from the series?

I have a few buddies from Lockport that race it, I'm a MX guy though so I don't know much about the harescrambles other than they are extremely physically demanding and hell on a machine haha. Where in NY are you located?

A few b class riders and an a rider. I race dirtbikes though, I'm not sure where the quad Mx stuff is there's a quad Mx series though in central ny you would have to look it up.

I have raced the series since 05, it is a good series just got a new president who has brought in more sponsors and added two events this year for a total of 15. Borich is a regular at the series and took the championship last year. www.wnyoa.net is the web site if you want to know more.

i race in the junior A class, have had bad luck since entering the class but look forward to having a good season this year. What about you?

I race college B I did decent last year. Did you race greak peak last year in the other series.....it will be awsome this year !

No didnt race greek, was on a limited budget last year. from what i heard it was a good track look forward to going there this year.

I ran a harescramble at Area 51 in Batavia back in November. Not sure if it was a sanctioned race but I only ran beginner class since it was the first time I've ever raced.

Exrider434, how'd the switch over to bikes work for you? I've ridden quads my entire life but I'm sick of having nowhere to ride around here so I'm putting both my quads up for sale this weekend and switching to a bike. A couple of my buddies ride bikes and keep telling me it'll be an easy switch...

It wasn't as easy as people make it look ha, it took a lot of seat time and practice to get the hang of it. One thing that helped alot was the fact that I had such good control on a quad it made it insanely easy to get used to controlling the way a bike moves in the air, landing, etc. Cornering is the toughest part ruts were tough to get the hang of but like I said if you get a lot of seat time in it will be second nature to you in no time.

Yeah I hear ya on the seat time thing. Nothing beats it. I have 7 acres of land at my house with some trails and a bunch of trails right down the street so I figured I'll do a lot of riding for a bit before actually hitting a track. How do you like the CRF? I'm planning on picking up an 06+

Love the crf. Zero complaints, maintain it keep the oil fresh and air filter fresh and you won't have a problem. I just sold my 06 and picked up an 08, go for 08 plus if you can they have better geometry in the triple clamps as well as a factory steering dampener.

That was one of my buddies bikes, sold it for $1700! I sold mine a while back in the beginning of winter and traded my sled to someone in Ohio for a low hour 08'.... Made out like a bandit on that deal this year haha.

I frequently have my hands on quite a few crfs at a time, we have a little shop up here and regularly have 12 at a time in the shop fixing and selling them. I'll let you know if we get anything through, pretty sure we have an 08' coming in soon that might be up for sale shortly after we get it.

Damn! I was gonna offer him $2k for it but decided to hold off a little while longer haha. And yeah definitely made out good on the sled deal lol.

I've been racing WNYOA since 05, in vet b now. I only made a couple races last year due to wrist surgery, but I hope to be out there more this year. I'm also good friends with the promoters of the SHC series, and I work all their races. I gotta say, it kinda sucked standing pretty much out in the open all day in that hurricane. I was the one guy helping on the big uphill where everyone was getting stuck. the track was amazing the day before though. oh, and I'm just a little ways north of you in Henrietta.

Yeah, unfortunately it's true. But they're still having Greek Peak as a WNYOA race. There's supposed to be an announcement soon on the SHC site. And there's gonna be a Borich/Gallagher riding school at Greek Peak.

Yeah i thought so we got to know ken and sue pretty good my dad was the flagger for greak peak and the riding school with borich and gallagher is gona be sweet.

I used to go to college in Alfred, I went to the race in Jasper this past year and I must say I was impressed. I used to race MX but I'm seriously considering on taking my 400ex up to some of your races this year if I have the time. It looked like a great time.
